The object of the Golden Age Club is to engage seniors in the New Ross area in different activities for their own benefit and for the benefit of their community. The club allows seniors to come together and exchange ideas with each other and with different groups in other areas.
Members meet on the 3rd Friday of each month at the Golden Age building which is located at the New Ross Fair Grounds. Members enjoy a pot luck supper at their meetings.
The group has a bake and craft table at the New Ross Fair and members sell tickets on a quilt as fundraisers.
Members enjoy bus trips to various locations when they can be arranged. Some trips are overnight of even of several overnight stays.
The Golden Age club building is available free to meetings that benefit or inform the community and can be rented for events.
The Golden Age club welcomes seniors of all ages who would like to have fun and contribute to the community.
