The Lion club men and women give time and effort to serve as volunteers in their communities to provide a better quality of life for those in need. Club members take part in numerous activities to benefit others. Fundraising efforts support many worthwhile organizations such as, Christmas Daddies, Bonnie Lea Farm, Cancer and other health groups, community organizations, hearing and seeing eye dogs and so many more.
The Lions club members are people who give of themselves to others and have a great time doing so.
Membership is by invitation to join. Applications can be made to the membership committee and must be approved by the Board of Directors.
Membership dues are currently $50 annually and are billed in two installments of $25 in September and in February. New members pay a onetime fee of $30 when inducted.
Meetings take place the 1st Monday of the month at Forest Heights Community School at 7:30 pm. and the 3rd Monday of the month (Dinner Meeting) at the Forties Community Centre in New Ross.
